    Director

    Dewey Andrew was elected as a Director of Avadim at the annual shareholders meeting held on April 19, 2017. Mr. Andrew has been an independent business consultant and investor since 2001. He owned and ran Mountaineer Distributing Co., a private company, from 1982 to 2006. Prior to that, he was the General Manager and owner of Smoky Mountain Distributors, a private company, from 1974 to 2001. He also formerly served as a director and the Chair of First Commercial Bank in Asheville, North Carolina.

    Humberto C. Antunes

    Director

    Humberto C. Antunes was appointed as a Director of Avadim on February 3, 2017. Mr. Antunes has been in healthcare his entire adult life, with experience in dermatology, ophthalmology, medical aesthetics, immunology, inflammation, cosmetics, medical devices, pharma and nutraceuticals. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Galderma Pharma S.A., a global pharmaceutical company, from 2004 to 2014; his senior executive positions prior to that appointment include his service as President, Galderma Laboratories, L.P. (North America) from 2001 to 2004, and President of Latin America Operations, Area Vice-President, Galderma (Brazil). In 2014, he co-founded Nestlé Skin Health, a company committed to enhancing the quality of life by delivering science-based solutions for the health of skin, that he led until end of 2016. Early 2017, he founded inprooW S.A., a Swiss company dedicated to intellectual property in health and wellness. Mr. Antunes promoted geographic expansion of the businesses he managed, created new channels, and acquired new audiences. He also led many successful acquisitions, integrations, joint ventures, licensing deals and divestitures. Mr. Antunes led research teams that achieved hundreds of new drug applications, patent filings and clinical studies all over the world. Mr. Antunes’ board experience include his service as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gladerma Pharma, S.A. (March 2015 – October 2016), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Proactiv Company S.A. (May 2016 – October 2016). An active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and other medical societies, he currently serves on the Board of the American Skin Association. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, Mr. Antunes continued his post-graduate executive management studies at the IMD Lausanne, Switzerland.

    Director

    Karan Rai has served as a Director of Avadim since October 2015. Mr. Rai is founder and Chief Executive Officer of ASGARD Partners & Co., a private strategic and capital advisory company. He manages the firm, chairs the investment committee, and oversees all phases of the firm’s growth strategy. Mr. Rai also currently serves as the CEO of Theodor Wille Intertrade (TWI), a portfolio company. TWI is a multinational company that provides a range of supply chain solutions for U.S. Government agencies and the prime contractors who support them. Previously, Karan was the President of ADS, Inc., a leading provider of logistics and supply chain solutions, serving all branches of the Armed Forces. At ADS, Mr. Rai led the company’s turnaround efforts and helped grow ADS into a $1.5+ billion dollar global organization. Prior to joining ADS, he worked in JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Investment Banking Group in New York, where he originated and structured over 50 deals during his tenure as a banker. During that time, Karan helped structure private equity deals for companies like Huish, Colt Defense, Wyle, Armored AutoGroup, as well as recapitalizations and financing deals for large public companies such as Macy’s, Limited Brands, B/E Aerospace, and JBS. He earned an MBA with distinction in Finance and Strategy from Yale University’s School of Management.

    Director

    Charles Owen III has served as a Director of Avadim since September 2014. From 1985 until it was acquired in 2003 by Springs Industries, Mr. Owen was President of Charles D. Owen Manufacturing Co., Inc. He served as President of the Blanket Division, Springs Global, Inc. (BOVESPA: SPGS3) until September 2006. He is currently the President of Fletcher Development Group and Sirocco Properties, Inc. Mr. Owen has served in a leadership role for numerous community organizations. Since 1990, he has been associated with Mission Health and Hospitals, serving as Board Chair from 2000 to 2002. He has been a member of the University of North Carolina Health System Board of Directors since 2006. In 1994 he was Co-Chair of the Finance Committee of the North Carolina Health Planning Commission. He has also served on the UNC Board of Visitors, North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry, NC State Textile School Foundation, North Carolina Outward Bound and the North Carolina Nature Conservancy. Mr. Owen received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982 and a Bachelor of Science in Textile Materials and Management from North Carolina State University in 1984.

    Paul Cox commenced work with Avadim in late 2012 and has served as our Secretary and a Director since August 2013 and as our Senior Vice President since October 15, 2015. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cox was instrumental in founding several companies in the technology, energy, resources, life sciences and renewable industries. Currently, Mr Cox is an officer and Chairman of Proxima Diamonds Corp. and Landwell Energy Corp., and a director of several other mineral exploration and development companies. He has been the founder, Chief Executive Officer and director of Pilotage Capital Corp., since January 2007. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cox was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Wind River Energy Corp. from October 2007 to August 2010, and was a director and Chairman of that company from October 2007 to May 2015. He was also the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Adent Capital Corp. from 2012 to 2016. He was previously President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Delta Gold Corporation (formerly ADR Capital Corp.) from April 2011 to February, 2013. Mr. Cox holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of British Columbia.

    David Fann began working for Avadim LLC in October 2012 and became the President of our Company in July 2014 and a Director in September 2014. During his time with the Company, Mr. Fann has been responsible for capital raises and new product development. Prior to joining Avadim LLC, Mr. Fann co-founded Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer from February 2009 to February 19, 2013. Mr. Fann co-founded FNDS3000 Corp. and served as its President from March 14, 2007 to February 1, 2009 and also served as its Vice President from October 23, 2006 to March 14, 2007. He served as the President of Global Axcess Corp. from January 2002 to September 30, 2006 and also served as its Secretary until December 2002. At Global Axcess Corp., Mr. Fann was responsible for equity and debt financings totaling over $17 million and was also responsible for investor relations. He served as the President and Secretary of Netholdings.com Inc. Mr. Fann also served as Director for many of the organizations with whom he worked. He served as a Director of FNDS3000 Corp. from October 23, 2006 to September 29, 2010, and Solar Park Initiatives, Inc. until December 2010. He served as a Director of Global Axcess Corp. from January 2002 to September 30, 2006, Critical Digital Data, Inc. since July 2010, Envortus, Inc. until July 2007 and FNDS3000 Corp. from January 24, 2006 to March 31, 2006.

    Stephen Woody has served as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our Board of Directors since September 2013. Previously, he was the founder and managing member of Avadim LLC, the predecessor to our Company. Since 1997, Mr. Woody has assisted more than 30 companies with regulatory support and strategic planning necessary for their launch of new or modified medical devices. Mr. Woody started his career in the medical device field at Medical Action Industries, Inc. in 1985 where, during his 13 year career in quality and business development, the company grew from $3 million to $75 million. Using his expertise in medical device development and management, Mr. Woody launched Integrated Quality Systems in 1997, an organization focused on launching new medical devices into the health care sector. In 2004, he founded G3 Medical, which focuses on manufacturing, packaging, and sterilization services along with quality system management. In 2006, Mr. Woody formed Avadim LLC which was later acquired by our Company. Mr. Woody completed a degree in mathematics in 1989 at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

    Linda McGoldrick was appointed to the Avadim Health Board of Directors in January 2019. She serves as a member of the Governance Committee and as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Ms McGoldrick is a global business strategy leader, policy expert and seasoned Independent Board Director serving on numerous listed companies: NYSE, NASDAQ, London, Oslo, AIM Exchanges as well as private corporations. Ms McGoldrick has served in four Ministerial appointments in the UK and as advisor in the healthcare, life sciences with particular expertise in highly regulated industries. She was as a Top 100 Corporate Director by the Financial Times of Fortune 500 companies specializing in Compensation. As a dual national, UK and USA, she has served as CEO at the nexus of public, private, NGO and government appointments globally. In the US, she was appointed by the Governor of Rhode Island to the Health Reform Commission and served as the MA Governor’s Appointee to the Massachusetts’s Health Information Technology Commission. Over Ms McGoldrick’s 30 year international career, she served in CEO and senior leadership roles for US and European companies. Her career included positions as management consultant with Arthur D Little, SVP and National Development Director of Marsh & McLennon Companies, Faculty Fellow of the King’s Fund., CEO of the International Diabetes Federation and The Drug Information Association, Managing Director, Kaiser Permanente International and currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Financial Health Associates International. Ms McGoldrick holds a BA in Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University, an MSW in Healthcare from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Management and Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

    James V. Rosati was appointed to the Avadim Health Board of Directors in January 2019. Previously, he served on our Advisory Board for 2 years. Mr. Rosati is a multidisciplinary business leader with more than 25 years of chief executive experience in insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications and banking. He retired on June 30, 2017, as president and Chief Executive Officer of The Beacon Mutual Insurance Company. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Rosati was a partner at the investment banking company Riparian Partners, LLC. From 1994-2002, he was Chief Executive of the worldwide Telecommunications Division of Cookson Group plc. Mr. Rosati began his career in 1972 at Old Stone Bank. In 1990, he rose to the position of Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer and was a member of the Board of Directors of Old Stone Bank. In 1991, Mr. Rosati was elected President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Old Stone Corporation, a $3.5 billion publicly traded company with 3,000 employees and 40,000 shareholders. Additionally, Mr. Rosati has played leadership roles in various government, civic and professional organizations. He was appointed by Rhode Island’s Governor in 2003 to chair the Board of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce – Rhode Island’s largest business advocacy association. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Providence Mutual Insurance Company, New England’s oldest property insurer with $175 million in admitted assets. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Avadim Health, Inc., a Board Member of Delta Dental Rhode Island, and a board member of Uncas International. He is also a member of the Bryant University Board of Trustees, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Rhode Island Hospital Foundation. Mr. Rosati is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a graduate of Bryant University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

    Ron Harvey

    VP Clinical Education

    Ron Harvey initially began working as a consultant for our Company through his own company – RN Medical Solutions, LLC. In his current role as Vice President Clinical Research, Mr. Harvey has been instrumental in developing multiple trials that resulted in published studies, most recently in Emergency Journal of Nursing and being nominated for the Innovative Technology Award through Tenet Health Care. Prior to joining our Company, Mr. Harvey has provided technical sales support for both critical care and long term care facilities. Mr. Harvey has been a nurse for 31 years and has specialized in geriatric nursing and rehabilitation throughout his entire career. In 1995, he began his own geriatric consultant service for long term care providers and families. He brings a broad knowledge base from being a third generation family owner of a long term care facility in Illinois, and has had multiple successes in launching new technologies to assist with daily living challenges in the geriatric context. Mr. Harvey graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, School of Nursing in 1981, and St. Louis University/University of St. Francis Master of Science in 1983.

    Chief Medical Officer

    Dr. Renzulli has been the Chief Medical Officer of Avadim since December 2016. Dr. Renzulli is a certified robotic surgeon and a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. He is a member of the urology staff at The Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital. Current research interests include the affects of neoadjuvant chemotherapy prior to prostatectomy for high-risk prostate cancer and mRNA transfer via microvesicles in prostate cancer. Dr. Renzulli has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and local meetings.

  • Josh Montgomery

    VP of Operations

    Josh Montgomery has been responsible for managing operations for Avadim since its beginning in 2007. As our Vice President of Operations, Mr. Montgomery is responsible for overseeing and directing all operational processes from conception to commercialization. After graduation, Josh was hired as a Quality Engineer for Integrated Quality Systems, working with medical device companies to set up operations and validate key processes in their facility. In 2004, Mr. Montgomery became the General Manager of G3 Medical, a contract packaging and sterilization company for medical devices. Josh has been involved in packaging and manufacturing for 16 years, having experience in operational management, lean manufacturing, product engineering and process validations. Mr. Montgomery earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Appalachian State University in 2000.

    Jared Buckner joined Avadim in 2007 as our General Manager before becoming the Director of Marketing and Product Development for Theraworx®. in January 2013, As our Vice President Product Development since July 2015, Mr. Buckner is responsible for the overall management of our Company’s product development activities. In 1999, Jared was hired as a sales representative for Northfield Instrumentation Services. In 2002, Mr. Buckner accepted a position with Integrated Quality Systems to assist with Quality System Management focusing on supporting other medical device companies in their endeavor to meet the standards put forth by the FDA. In 2004, G3 Medical, a packaging and sterilization company, was formed and Mr. Buckner was asked to be the head of business development. Mr. Buckner earned a degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from Appalachian State University in 1998.

    VP Clinical Sales

    As the Vice President Clinical Sales, Jack Hands is responsible for the direction and management of all sales operations for our clinical business. Prior to joining Avadim in July 2013, Mr. Hands worked for American Medical Systems for 15 years as a sales representative and then a regional sales manager, where he became their top sales representative in the United States and was awarded the area regional sales manager of the year award in 2009, 2011 and 2012. Mr. Hands was primarily responsible for selling men’s and women’s urologic implantable devices. Mr. Hands received his B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Tech University. Mr. Hands has 25 years experience in acute care hospital sales, sales management, and sales training including four years of experience in orthopedic sales at Johnson and Johnson Healthcare Inc.

    Mr. Lombardo joined our Company in 2015 as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing. Mr. Lombardo is responsible for the direction and management of all sales operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, and distribution and channel strategy. Mr. Lombardo has over 30 years’ experience in executive sales management with expertise in sales interaction, recruiting expansion and sales execution and performance management in the healthcare environment. During his time at Purdue Pharma, between 1995 and 2009, he served in various capacities including executive and senior sales management positions and corporate development roles. Purdue’s U.S. sales revenue grew from $200 million to over $2 billion during Mr. Lombardo’s time there.

    Joseph F. McGuire was appointed as our Chief Financial Officer of the Company on October 28, 2014. He has extensive experience in numerous Wall Street investment vehicles, including mutual funds, commodity limited partnerships, hedge funds and a broker-dealer, and has served as a chief financial officer in that environment from 1989 through 1998. During this period, Mr. McGuire obtained numerous Wall Street licenses, f the Series 3, 7, 24, 27 and 63. From 1989 through 1994, Mr. McGuire was Chief Financial Officer of the John W. Henry & Co. managed futures/commodity trading organization which grew from $200 million to $1.2 billion in assets under management during this timeframe. From 1998 through 2014, Mr. McGuire was the Chief Financial Officer for both private and publicly-traded companies handling the reporting, financing and investor relations responsibilities. Mr. McGuire has worked closely with NASDAQ regulators regarding obtaining and maintaining listings on that exchange. Mr. McGuire oversaw a reverse merger/acquisition between a publicly-traded manufacturing company and a private company based in Houston, Texas which led to American Electric Technologies getting listed on the NASDAQ. Timely and accurate reporting, as well as cost effective internal controls, were crucial to be able to distribute meaningful internal reports to management and provide external investors’ confidence in their executive team. Prior to 1989, Mr. McGuire held management positions with Dean Witter Reynolds, Paine Webber, Inc., and Price Waterhouse. During Mr. McGuire’s tenure at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, he obtained his CPA license. Mr. McGuire received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1980.

    Rick Mazzei is a multiple award-winning Sales, Sales Management and Sales Operations Executive with over 30 years of diverse healthcare industry experience. Rick has built and led teams for Start-Up, Big Pharma, CSO (Contract Sales Organizations) and privately held companies. During his tenure, Rick has sold and managed more than 75 FDA-approved products across 19 therapeutic areas, including the launch of 20 new brands. As an Executive Director of Field Sales Operations for Wyeth Vaccines, Rick oversaw all commercial operations for a national sales force of 400 during the launch of several new products, including the world’s top-selling vaccine, which exceeded $1 Billion in annual sales during his time there. Prior to joining Avadim in January 2017, Rick was a Sales Excellence Coach with inVentiv Health (now Syneos Health), responsible for accelerating the selling capabilities of the account management team within the Vaccines Business Unit of GlaxoSmithKline. Mr. Mazzei graduated from Westminster College (PA) in 1983, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a concentration in Writing.

    Mr. Thompson joined our Company in 2017 as Vice President Strategic National Accounts and Business Development. Mr. Thompson is responsible for direction and management of contracting, sales and pricing for Group Purchasing Organizations, Distribution in Health Care IDN’s, non-acute markets and new markets. Mr. Thompson has over 25 years of experience in Healthcare with expertise in Group Purchasing Organizations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Sales management. During his time at Owens & Minor, between 2009 and 2017 he served various positions managing key account management positions and successfully renewed or gained 23 strategic contracts totaling over $10 billion. Mr. Thompson also worked in various positions at DeRoyal Industries, between 1994-2009 managing field sales and national accounts.
