AVADIM TECHNOLOGIES / HEATH SHULER GOLF INVITATIONAL SERVES LOCAL CHARITY – EBLEN CHARITIES

AVADIM GIVES BACK WITH NATIONAL SERVICE DAY

Asheville, NC (October 23, 2017) – Avadim Technologies Inc. (“Avadim”), the Bionome TherapiesTM life sciences company, today announced that the Avadim Technologies / Heath Shuler Golf Invitational was held at the Cliffs at Walnut Cove in North Carolina this week and raised over $125,000 for Eblen Charities.

The day started off briskly with temperatures in the mid-30’s in the beautiful western Carolina mountains.

Avadim’s Chairman and CEO, Steve Woody thanked the numerous sponsors, golfers and volunteers for their support before heading out to the links.

Whether developing products aimed to improve health and enhance quality of life or helping communities through local and global philanthropy efforts, Avadim’s mission is to serve. And that is what Avadim means – “servant”— and it’s a responsibility that the company doesn’t take lightly. Avadim Technologies has created revolutionary topical therapies that work effectively while preserving the health of the skin. These therapies are already making a difference in a wide range of areas—from hospital-acquired conditions to muscle cramps and more—and they have the potential to address a multitude of conditions in the future.

This day also marked Avadim’s National Service Day for many of our employees that traveled across the country to serve as volunteers at the charitable event, in conjunction with a corporate educational seminar in Asheville and a tour of our manufacturing facilities.

Jack Hands (blue jacket), our Acute Care Sales Director, traveled from Texas to join in the festivities.

Leslie Schuh, our clinical sales rep from Kansas City was hosting the refreshment stand.

Jared Bruckner, leading our Product Development team, took care of the “chilly” dogs.

Our Chief Financial Officer, “Mayor” Joe McGuire, hosted the early morning refreshments.

Asheville, N.C.-based Eblen Charities and the Eblen Center for Social Enterprise has grown from a garage sale to an internationally recognized organization. The charity was formed in 1991 when philanthropist and former Biltmore Oil Company president Joe Eblen, recognizing an unaddressed need to aid struggling local families, organized a garage sale and raised $400. During its first full year of service in 1992, the organization reached 300 families. Eblen has more than 70 programs providing medical, utility, rent, clothing, food and emergency assistance. In all, Eblen provides millions of dollars in aid each year.

Bill Murdock, Chairman of Eblen Charities said, “We can’t begin to thank everyone at Avadim Technologies for their wonderful partnership and friendship these past years. Through our combined efforts tens of thousands of families have been able to breathe easier during difficult times. The new Avadim Technologies / Heath Shuler Fall Golf Invitational as Avadim’s signature event as a keystone of Eblen Charities and our outreach to the community. Together we will continue to grow and touch countless lives of those in times of need. The word “Avadim” means to serve and there is no better name for the company and those who are a part it. It is an honor to stand beside them and be part our their outreach and have them such a vital part of ours.”

Dewey Andrew, Director of Avadim (on the right) and long-time Avadim investor, Brian Blakey enjoyed the festivities in the warmer afternoon session. Dewey is also a member of Eblen’s Governing Board of Directors.

Throughout his storied career, Heath Shuler has been acknowledged as a top high school, collegiate, and professional football player. As a businessman and entrepreneur he has established numerous companies. When called upon, he set that all aside to serve as our representative in the United States Congress, bringing his leadership skills to help guide our nation through difficult times and ensuring that those in our community had a voice in Washington.

“This is something that I look forward to each year,” says Heath Shuler, a member of Eblen’s Advisory Board. “It is an honor to be part of this wonderful community and Eblen Charities as together we work to make life better for so many children, adults, and families in need. This need makes what we do all that more important. The tournament has grown each year thanks to our sponsors and all the teams who are joining us again this year. It is wonderful to know that what we do here has such an impact on those in our community during these difficult times.”

Steve Woody, Chairman and CEO of Avadim, stated, “Avadim was happy to join forces with Heath Shuler for the benefit of Eblen Charities. We would sincerely like to thank all of our sponsors, teams, friends, and supporters that made this day such a success.”
